Teh Kim Wee
- Just a simple person using tech to make the world a better place!
- Currently Singapore's first and only LangChain community ambassador.
- List of some of my projects are here
- Co-Chair of PyConSG25
Tay Hwee Shan
- Known as Ms Tay to my students, I spend my waking (and sleeping) hours running my tech education company and looking after my 2 year old girl.
- My first contact with Python was a university module on Computer Vision - I remember doing a project on detecting fruit flies in a video - and being amazed by Python’s simplicity!
- I’m currently teaching Python as part of the Computing curriculum, but I also enjoy playing around and automating some tasks, simply because it’s so easy to start writing and running code on it.
- For PyConSG25, I co-lead the PyLadiesSG track!
Soon Zi Ni Darlene
- An A-Level graduate with four years of Computing experience, I love bringing code to life. Passionate about serving the community, I enjoy building web apps that make a real difference to vulnerable groups. To me, coding isn't just about logic—it is about creating impact and making the world a little better, one line of code at a time!
- I began coding in Python in Secondary 3 when I first took up O Level Computing, with no prior experience!
- I'm further building on my Python knowledge through courses in order to help more people with it.
- For PyConSG25, I am the Social Media Lead and the PyLadiesSG Co-Chair!
Dr Melvin Zhang
- An avid programmer who enjoys designing and implementing novel algorithms. He has taught Python for beginners and Computational Thinking in Python.
- My first contact with Python: When I realised that Python’s syntax resembles pseudocode and it is the easiest language for beginners to pick up.
- How I am using Python currently: Generating plots to visualize data and for running experiments to evaluate new algorithms.
- For PyConSG25, I am in charge of reviewing CFP submissions.
Dr Ivan Zimine
- https://www.odd-e.com/about/ivan.html
- My first contact with Python was in 1999 using Python 1.4 to replace perl scripts.
- Python is still my goto language for analytics and web development.
- Organised previous PyConSGs. For PyConSG25, I am focusing on the program and sponsors.
Gi Soong Chee
- Retyree
- Computing educator who makes life harder for his students so that they can save the world.
- Sometimes here and there.
- Volunteer for past PyConSGs and organiser of PyCon SG Education Summit since 2015 after being motivated by Dr Ivan Zimine. For PyConSG25, I am trying to keep low profile and make PyCon SG great again.
Ashwin Dinesh (SIT)
- An IoT Product Manager at Singtel and President of the Applied Computing (CSM) Student Management Committee at SIT, passionate about building scalable and secure connectivity solutions across Southeast Asia.
- I have always been amazed by Python's ability in handling complex deep learning tasks compared to C and how quickly I could build real-world applications using open community libraries.
- I use Python to prototype IoT solutions with MicroPython on ESP32 and Raspberry Pi, and mentor peers in machine learning and data-driven development. I also create open-source tools to support hands-on learning and community projects.
- For PyConSG25, I am part of the organizing committee helping with logistics.
Tew Sze Yee (SIT)
- UI/UX Engineer focused on crafting intuitive digital experiences and design systems. I am currently part of the Applied Computing Student Management Committee as Vice President (Engagements) at the Singapore Institute of Technology.
- I was first introduced to Python during my first year polytechnic module on data visualization. I was surprised by how readable and approachable Python was, even for someone with minimal coding experience. It opened the door for me to automate workflows and bring data-driven insights into my design process.
- For PyConSG25, I am helping to oversee the programme flow to ensure smooth operation on the actual day.
Leon Yong (SIT)
- I work as a Digital Integration Engineer during the day while pursuing an IT degree by night!
- I've always been captivated by a strange desire to understand how modern technology architectures solutions work seamlessly.
- I use Python in both my professional work and personal projects, primarily for data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and experimenting with algorithms I've learned.
- For PyConSG25, I lead the planning and execution for SIT’s side and coordinate with the other PyCon organizers to ensure we meet our objectives.
